Unmasking the Real Reason Behind Subscription Cancellations: How to Add Value and Win Customers’ Hearts

Are you using SMS marketing? We have a database of thousands of previous customers, as well as thousands of cart abandoners that have given us their phone numbers.

In the last 3-4 months we began sending a once-monthly SMS message to them, whenever we release a new offer and usually around the end of the month (payday).

It usually gets us a lot of sales, and a lot of previous customers coming back and activating a new subscription. We only send it to people who stayed with us for at least 6 months, because we don’t want any A**holes who took a box and then tried to immediately cancel to come back 🙂

I’m kidding, but what we do want is to encourage more loyal customers who did at least a 6 month term with us, as they are likely happier with the product than someone who signed up for less time than our shortest subscription term (6 months).

Anyway, give it a try and let me see what happens, or maybe even hold it for Black Friday and give a great offer for optimal results. Not something you can do every day or every week but once a month is OK, and give people the chance to opt out. We’ve gotten over 100 subscribers in one day on 2 separate occasions in the last 6 months by doing this.

You can’t do everything. You can’t have 7 priorities. You must have 1, 2 or a maximum of 3 priorities in order to succeed.

You also need focus. You probably don’t need more Time, you just need more Focus.

I use a site called brain.fm for binaural beats and it helps me get in the ‘zone’. Put do not disturb on your phone and put the phone off the desk. Quit email and all messaging apps and work FOCUSED for 2-4 hours a day.

This has led me to actually get shit DONE in a day or two, instead of languishing on my to do list for 3-4 weeks.

Try it and let me know.
